Issue:
A rather frustrating bug has recently come to light in ICON. This bug affects the HTML editor in ICON when using Internet Explorer browser, and prevents the text entered into the editor from being saved.
The HTML editor is used in many areas in ICON, including the following :
* Composing Discussion posts
* Creating and editing News items
* Composing Emails
* Creating a new content page
Other side affects of this bug include the Post button in the Discussions tool not being displayed, and some HTML pages not loading correctly in the content area.
Temporary Workaround:
We are working on resolving this issue, and until a fix is released we recommend using a different browser, such as Firefox (which can be downloaded for free from this page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/).
Additionally, you may be able to use Virutal Desktop (https://virtualdesktop.uiowa.edu/) to access Firefox. Log in to Virtual Desktop, click the Web Browsers folder, and click Firefox to launch the browser.
