Description:
[RESOLVED] No hyphens are allowed in the Reply To field in the Settings area of the Email tool.
This issue has been resolved.
Problem: If a user never touches the Reply To field in the Settings area of the Email tool, it defaults to firstname-lastname@uiowa.edu. However, if the user tries to edit it, hyphens are illegal characters. It works if the new Reply To address has no hyphens, but if the user changes his/her mind and wants to go back to firstname-lastname@uiowa.edu, he/she will get a failure message.
Desire2Learn considers this a high priority issue and hopes to have it fixed in the near future.
Workaround: The user can look up his/her email routing address(e.g., hawkid@iowa.uiowa.edu; may be different for different domains) at , which contains no illegal characters, and fill that in instead. That will go to the same destination as firstname-lastname@uiowa.edu
