Description:
The Compose button in the Discussions tool does not respond when clicked on in Safari 3.1.2 and OS X Leopard 10.5.4
The Compose button in the Discussion tool does not respond to user clicks in Safari under OS X Leopard. The issue can be replicated in Safari on Windows. The issue does not exist in Firefox.
This issue is due to the built in pop-up blocking that Safari has. To disable this you will need to do the following:
In OSX:
1. Click the Safari Menu from the Menu Bar at the top of the screen
2. Click on Block Pop-Up Windows to remove the check mark
In Windows:
1. Click the Edit Menu
2. Click Block Pop-up Windows to remove the check mark
This should allow users to compose messages in Safari once again.
