The tables below show what browsers and operating systems were used to access ICON during Final Exams week for the Fall 2005 semester (December 11-18, 2005). The first table shows the number of users accessing ICON with a particular browser and is organized in descending order by the percentage of hits generated. One user may generate more than one hit.
As can be seen from the table, 78.5% of all hits came from Internet Explorer users, followed by 14% from Firefox users and 3.3% from Safari users. The remaining 4.2% are distributed among America Online, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, and Opera users.
The second table shows the number of users accessing ICON with a particular operating system. Again, they are sorted in descending order by the percentage of hits. One user may generate more than one hit.
As this table indicates, 90.8% of all hits came from users running Windows XP, followed by 3.3% running Mac OS X and 1.7% running Windows 2000. The remaining 4.2% are distributed among users running various Windows and Macintosh flavors, as well as Linux.
